Our chosen wick is the CDN, a flat braided cotton wick. This wick is crafted with a special paper filament thread, ensuring a remarkable burning experience.

The CDN wick has a unique characteristic sets it apart—it naturally curls itself into the flame. This distinctive quality allows for a slow and even burn, creating a captivating ambiance when you light our candles.

BURN: The first-time burn is critical, and you should aim for 3 -  4 hours on this burn. This ensures the melt pool reaches the edge and prevents tunneling (where only the candle burns in the center). Please do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours, as there is a risk it could get too hot. 

TRIM: Trim the wick to 1/4 inch each time the candle is lit. This helps prevent the flame from getting too large and helps your candle to last longer. 

STOP: Do not burn a candle all the way down. For a safety margin, discontinue burning a candle when 1/2 inch of wax remains in the container.

Make sure to trim your wick in between burns where the wood naturally breaks off to prevent sooting. I suggest you trim the wick by gently pinching the burnt bits off with your fingers when the candle is completely cooled; this will prevent cutting the wick too short and causing it to drown in the melted wax pool.
